In case of an extension of H1B by the same employer, does the employer has to pay any fee other than the 190$ fee? AFAIK, There is no need to pay either the 1500$/750$ . Can some one confirm?

How come you have s-corp registered, when you do not have green card.
The rule for s-corp is to be a greencard or US citizen right...correct me if I am wrong.

Has anyone any idea why FY 2006 doesn't add up?
FY 2005: 0 + 15,422 + 47,160 = 62,582 OK
FY 2006: 6,670 + 14,672 + 10,688 = 32,030 vs. 41,254??
If their arithmetic is that bad that they can't even add up three numbers, what else could be wrong??

I called yesterday and was told that my file is waiting to be assigned to an IO.
There was no issue with WAC receipt

For me, this attachment happened in July with LUD.
Let see. I see some hope.

I have a quick question. I am a late July AOS filer. I have not received the RN yet. My H1is expiring in mid Jan 2008. Should I wait for EAD and not file H1 extension ? Please suggest. I need to pay for H1 that I want to avoid but at the same time, do not want to take risk as well.
I strongly recommend keeping your H1 renewed. Its always a good idea to have your H1 until you get your GC - whether on EAD or not. Your EAD is backup to your H1. Unless ofcourse you are married and your spouse is already here and you want to work for a different employer after 180 days of your I-140 approval. You never know what could happen to GC until you get it. Talk to a lawyer too!!!

You fill out a portion of the form online. When done, it will generated a PDF with your application number on it. You have to then print it and complete the remaining pages by pen. You also need to complete a "Nationality Status Verification Form". Its on their website. :confused:

Unfortunately, you don't have many options at this point. Once an I-140 is denied, denial of the I-485 usually occurs as well, and your EAD will be cancelled.

Got my FP done for I485 after waiting one year, many calls and infopass.
It was Code 2 and not Code 3 as most have done, it is index finger just like for EAD, not the 10 fingers. Can someone shed some light

By doing the above, we will permanently be bracketed under Illegal Immigrants category and then what not.
I think, we should have a different approach. The reason, iam here is because i liked the approach we are taking.
We are eductaed and we need to handle things following the protocol which the law makers understand. Pressure tactics will not work and will be seen as nonsense by many.
We need to handle the things right way, even though it takes time. Getting desperate is, when we start loosing.
We need to look at Immigration issue from lawmakers point of view and the American citizens reservations about this whole imigration and their insecurities.
Far more important task for us legal immigrants is, we need to show them that we are not job grabbers but job creaters.
We also need to prove that we do not pose any security threat to them or USA.
Also, we need to rope in Indian government rather than NRI/GC holders in USA.
When Indian companies back home start investing in USA, thatz when things/momentum will build up here.
Looks like we have a long battle to fight. We need to appreciate that we are under a banner.

yes I got recipt numbers for my I-140s and I-485s and also got EAD for my spouse. I havent got one for me as I am on H-1 and dont need EAD at this moment.
But does getting recipt for I-485s means that future retrogession of Schedule A will not be problemetic for processing of my I-485? It will not hold it?
I seek other members input as i had to decide about to go for preimum processing of I-140 or not to avoid effects of possible retrogession of schedule A.

I am applying for my I-485 and my wife's I-485/EAD. I'm in my 3rd yr of H1 and expires may'08. My attorney suggested that applyin for EAD for me is not worth as i can use my time on H1 till oct/nov and instead of renewing H1, then apply for EAD so that i will not end up wasting my EAD time. So, We plan to apply for my EAD/AP and wife's AP sometime in nov. Am i thinking thinking right..anything wrong doing this. possible con's?
i still think it's best to apply for ead so you can work for another company if you plan to change job after 180 days. your h1 visa only allows you to work for the sponsoring company. just my opinion.
