All EB-3 India candidates would be eligible for Religious workers category after 15 years of wait. Their cases would be transferred to Religious worker category on its own. USCIS believes that after 15+ years of mental torture, they are better suited to work in temples and churches than in some software development center. Also, it is a point to be noted that 5 years after getting the green card, they will be able to become naturalized senior citizens. This process can only make them senior citizen of this country.

If possible, its always advisable to collect the passport at the Indian embassy in person. I heard horror stories of people losing their passports in the mail.

My attorney says its my call if I want to do premium processing. She probably will not charge me 500. I work for a nonprofit and she charges me less than other clients. And yes my case is at TSC. Oh to be a debt-free- bluekayal!
I will have to go for spending 1500 $ for premium processing ? what is your opinion . I have my wife and son involved with my GC process too. Do you think it worth those money above and beyond 10,000 I had already spent.
If it really help to avoid possible retro I dont mind spending it. Can you tell your view

Jokes apart, Call an IO or take a INFOPASS appt to talk to an IO. Its always easier if you can talk to somebody face to face....
I some centers you can get a INFOAPASS appt for next day easily

The delimma is if it's decided by Immigration that's it's my mistake i have to pay all over again. Put nobody know if i should pay the new fees or the july-2nd fees.
Also i asked if i should send a payment with the appilcation just to make sure the application is not rejected for not including the payment, i did not get an answer for that.
I'm stuck....

HI Guys,
I recently received my I-140 approval (premium) and i was recapturing my PD of June 10 2003. The STRANGE thing is that this time i see an "A" number above my name in the Beneficiary column.
More importantly last time when the I140 approval came along, it said CLEARLY that I could not apply for my 485. This time it says I am eligible and that I should contact the local INS office.
HAS ANYONE had a similar experience and does the A number mean the "immigrant visa number" by ANY chance??

can you still stamp the h1b in canada if you have an extension notice?I have heard people do that in the past not so frequently anymore.i don't know why.
Did you mean H1B extension, I got it stamped last november, my friend got it 5 weeks ago, if anything changed after that, I don't know.

I am on h1b. I worked for an employer for 6 months in 2008. He has my LCA for CA and he withhold tax for CA whereas I was living and working in OR for 6 months. My consultant is advising me to file tax for OR. any suggestions.

If you invoke AC21 can you still maintain the H1 status? Basically i want to change the employer without affecting my GC Process and also not to fully depend on GC to be in status.

I was told by my attorney that you can transfer your H1 as well. This will help to maintain your H1 as well as your 485 status. I never tried it in my past, but request you to consult with an attorney to reconfirm it.
