Catherine Zeta-Jones Home To Threatened Wildlife Species

Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is backing a USD 1.6 million campaign to protect a farm, which is home to threatened wildlife species, in her native Wales.
The 41-year-old star wants the officials at Britain’’s National Trust to acquire the 600-acre property in Snowdonia so they can preserve the site, reported Contactmusic.
"The National Trust plays a key role in protecting and managing the Welsh countryside. The beauty and landscape of Snowdonia is truly unique and we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to protect Llyndy Isaf in this stunning part of Wales for future generations," said the Oscar winning actress.
"If we don’’t act now the threat of commercial development could spoil the tranquility of this special part of Snowdonia," added Zeta-Jones.
Actor Matthew Rhys has also appealed for help in raising funds to buy the farm, while USD 800,000 has already been donated to the cause.
